Very good product, October 9, 2009 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Natura Classic Crib Mattress Pad (Baby Product) Our babies' mattresses had protectors already and in my opinion regular sheets on vinyl coated mattresses was not enough.
That's why i decided to by anything better - more for my babies' comfort than for mattress protection.
The procuct exceeded all my expectations: deep enough, doesn't slip when i am changing the sheet, not too thin and not too thick, keeps temperature comfortable, smells good (which is very important, too).
Don't know yet how much will ithe pad actually protect from moisture, but it is very well manufactured.
A reliable, high quality product.
Every time coming to my babies and feeling the smell of natural wool from the pad i realize again that i made the right hoice.

At first the smell of the wool was really strong but after washing (washed up beautifully by the way) it has just a faint pleasant natural wool smell. I love that I am ensuring that my toddler is at least breathing a few less chemicals too. I wish I would have found this years ago.

Very nice organic cotton mattress pad, but no wool fill., April 30, 2011 By DesignDiva (New York, NY) - See all my reviews This review is from: Natura Classic Crib Mattress Pad (Baby Product) This item is really very nice, but the one Amazon is shipping does not have wool fill. It is 100% organic cotton filled with 100% cotton batting, contrary to the item description. It is one of the few crib mattress pads I have found without a waterproof layer and all natural materials, which were most important to me. While I would have liked having wool fill for temperature regulation, I've decided to keep this one. It's slightly annoying the laundering instructions state NOT to use a top loading washing machine, which is what I have, and to dry on "no heat" which isn't an option on my dryer (low heat is the lowest). I washed it on delicate and dried it on low. It did shrink slightly in the quilted surface area, but it still fits my Naurepedic mattress properly. I think the amount of padding is perfect! I just wonder if an all-cotton one might be less expensive than one with wool fill?
