Amazing Under the Radar Organic Mattress, January 18, 2012 This review is from: KOKO Crib Mattress (Kitchen) I bought this mattress a month and half ago. I was looking for high quality and organic mattress after reading about SIDS possible connection to chemicals from mattresses. This is made of coconut fibres so its very resistant to fungus/bacteria (which I also read when mixed with some chemical is what creates a toxic mix for infants breathing directly on traditional mattresses).
My daughter also loves to sleep sometimes on her stomach. I was very nervous buying this and was wondering if it was too soft. Actually it is solid. It is comfortable enough but yet very surprisingly firm. I opened the zipper to check.
Other mattresses comparable are $350 and up so this is a fabulous steel. Other mattresses I compared to were not totally organic.
Only downside is (which is a plus for me since I don't like anything heavy). The standard sheets, you just have to pull it further in in the back to make it tight. It still works fine and no excess fabric.
